Guests of Arrested DevOps

Jill Jubinski

Jill Jubinski

Jill Jubinski is a spirited Recruiting Leader with over 7 years experience in the technical recruiting field. She received her Masters in Industrial/Organizational Psychology with plans to change the way organizations treated their employees. When that didn’t work out she started recruiting . Jill’s main priorities in her work are the humans she interacts with and the relationships being built. She strongly believes that recruiters are a strategic/impactful arm to any organization and that the work they do matters. Jill is also known to chat incessantly about her dogs, give hugs like they are going out of style and feels lucky to work at a company (Fastly) where she can be based in her hometown of St. Louis, MO.

JJ Asghar

JJ Asghar

JJ is a Sr. Partner Engineer at Chef, he was also the PTL for the Openstack-Chef project. He lives in Austin, Texas and has been part of the OpenStack community since Diablo’s release.

He enjoys a good strong stout, hoppy IPA, and some Dwarf Fortress. He’s a member of the Church of Emacs, and usually chooses Ubuntu over CentOS.

He’s a father and husband, if he’s not trying to automate his job away he’s trying to convince his daughters to “let the bot’s do the work for them.”

Jocelyn Harper

Jocelyn Harper

Jocelyn had a large passion for technology since the age of 9 where she taught herself HTML and CSS to build websites and design layouts in Paint Shop Pro. Many years and Java coding boot camp later, she is a Senior Associate Software Engineer at Capital One where she is enjoying working as a full-stack engineer and is also the host of Git Cute Podcast, a technology podcast that is aimed at providing technology and career advice without the humdrum and heaviness of technical jargon. Outside of work, Jocelyn devotes a portion of her time to traveling around the country giving technical presentations and talks about diversity and inclusion within the tech sector. With the rest of her time, you can find her decompressing with video games and spending too much time on Twitter.
